Too much empty space, giant text, enormous icons, and completely changed all workflows. The "Compact Mode" is still horrifically large. Waiting to see if they can salvage anything over the next few months, but I will be canceling my subscription and switching to Proton Pass if the Bitwarden UI remains anything at all like this redesign, as it is frustratingly inefficient.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Stephen, pred enim letomThe new redesign makes this tool immensely frustrating to use. Swapping the fill and edit functions over makes no sense at all.
In response to the developer response below: how does adding the quick copy buttons back in fix the issue that I describe above?Odgovor razvijalca
objavljeno ob pred enim letomHi. Mare sure you are on version 2024.12.4 or above, then check under Bitwarden Settings > Autofill > "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and Bitwarden Settings > Appearance > "Show quick copy actions on Vault" if you want to restore previous functionality that you may prefer. - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Coldblackice, pred enim letomNew UI is awful! Autofill is broken, and the function to easily "Autofill this website" function that auto-populates the URL input is no longer there. Reverting ASAP to the old version.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— MB, pred enim letomIt was phenomenal until the latest "redesign" or whatever they call it. Now it's extremely frustrating and difficult to use. The secure notes are all but unusable now, better remember what you called them!
I really hate this new theme. - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— budget princess, pred enim letomLoved it until the new UI replaced the "click to fill" functionality with a tiny postage stamp "fill" button. Reverted to the last version with a usable UI until they fix this bug.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— FireFueled, pred enim letomLast update made UI worse. Now I have to click a small button to perform a function that was triggered by a big broad button.
Dumb decisions requested by dumb financiers, made by dumb designers, and approved by dumb managers.Odgovor razvijalca

Not because the extension is broken or new UI is ugly (it looks really nice), but because you've changed behavior of extension. Providing users with additional settings to go back to previous behavior (or promise to introduce such settings in future updates) is not the way how you should do it. Some users (like relatives and loved ones who were introduced to password managers by more tech-aware people) of extension got confused/lost by your changes - and it's difficult to explain over the phone what should they change to keep using Bitwarden "as usual". That's why new extension behavior should be opt-in for existing Bitwarden users.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Jon-Pierre Gentil, pred enim letomThe new UI is unfathomably bad.
It feels like the people who designed it do not actually use the product. I think a big assumption would be made that the drop-down menu isn't used much and that everyone uses the auto-fill widget embedded in the website itself. The problem is that rarely works, and I have it disabled. I don't want it. So they've changed the default behavior in the drop-down menu to "view" the item instead of "fill", and created this TINY MINISCULE "fill" button you have to click instead, with no option to revert to the previous behavior.
Fire your UX people; they're inept.
The rest of Bitwarden is a great product. But this UI change is a dumpsterfire. - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 15698278, pred enim letomExcellent app I've been using for years but the recent UI update made every button very bulky which makes it so less information is visible on the screen. The update also changed the main page in the app so the things that were accessible straight away are no longer there. Wish that change got reverted.
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 17579105, pred enim letomit's always been great, but the latest UI refresh I consider a huge step backwards. there are now additional steps needed to fill password fields and copy passwords. broken workflow

Completely ridiculous redesign! There was no need at all
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— dguy73137, pred enim letomThe old version was better. Too many clicks to achieve what was already fine.

We don't want change, unless it makes things faster, smoother, safer, better. Adding extra steps (WTF... "fill" button?!) just slows down the process. Loved the product (mostly) before, but this is a huge mistake. UI changes that break UX need to at least have a toggle. Let's sort it out, folks. Then you get your stars back.Odgovor razvijalca

This last update has clearly not been very well tested. Now get some strange random effects in the extension using it on linux and the font is too small and cannot be changed. - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— sedoy, pred enim letommore cheesy UI is even hard to imagine, why was it necessary to spoil what worked well....
- Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Jonathan Kamens, pred enim letomI legit don't know what the folks at Bitwarden were thinking with the recent revamp of the user interface. It is objectively worse in many respects. Operations now require more clicks, more screen real-estate is taken up by things that are used less often, and the decision to change the default behavior for a context-selected auto-fill entry from fill to edit, and move the fill function to a tiny button, is an incredibly hair-brained regression.
For Pete's sake, you could have made it look prettier without crippling the functionality. - Ocenjeno z 2 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 16999870, pred enim letomThe new extension seems to follow a trend set by Microsoft. If a task can be accomplished with one mouse click, two mouse clicks must be better. In the older extension, I could copy a password with a single click. Now, I have to select the info button, then pick password from a dropdown. This is not an improvement, in my opinion.
In the older version, selecting the entry would autofill. Now, I have to find the small button to autofill. Clicking on the entry opens the listing.
Some of this can be attributed to having to learn the new interface. Some of it can be attributed to prettifying it at the expense of usefulness.
I'll be looking at downgrading to an older version.Odgovor razvijalca

Why was it necessary to change the UI such that I have to make more clicks to accomplish the same function. And displaying all logins on the main screen is impossible to use with hundreds of logins in my vault. I am not happy with this 'upgrade'.
