But unlike the other tools I use to block trackers, it doesn't allow me to opt-out for specifc sites, nor does it report what it blocks.

That lack of end-user transparancy and control is a red flag.

All the ad on's I try to download it says the files are corrupt.

duck duck go is great for blocking adds and cookies. but its also its only major draw back if your wanting to watch spicy content it blocks all sites for this content even with filters disabled.
