- Se valoró con 1 de 5por The Red Pill, hace 3 díasThe newly required Lifetime License fee to remove the QR code should be fairly priced at $4.99
The 'Red Pill' Reality: the 'engine' doing the heavy lifting (downloading & converting) is still just FFmpeg, which is free, open-source software built by volunteers. You are essentially paying $30 for lifetime access to a dashboard that drives a free car.
To be fair to the Developer: Paul and his team built a very polished Link Sniffer and a nice UI. They also updated the 'Companion App' to handle HLS streams smoothly. For a non-technical user, this convenience has some value.
Why $4.99 is the fair price: You are paying for the convenience of not using a command line. That is worth a cup of coffee ($5), not the price of a full premium indie video game ($30).
How to do it yourself for free (The steps they don't want you to know): If you have 5 minutes, you can replicate this 'Premium' functionality for $0:
Option A (Web-based & Clean): Use cobalt[dot]tools. Unlike other sites, it has NO ads and NO trackers. (Pro Tip: Smart users run uBlock Origin anyway, which makes the free web safer than many paid apps).
Option B (Power User):
Install 'The Stream Detector' (Firefox addon) to sniff the links just like this extension does.
Click it -> select 'Copy yt-dlp command'.
Paste that into your terminal with yt-dlp (free open source).
A premium UI but the 'magic' is free elsewhere. Save your money unless you are allergic to keyboards. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19571868, hace 6 díasMit jedem verfluchten Firefox update geht die Registrierung flöten ... - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19602292, hace 8 díasWorks for a while then quits downloading but doesn't give a reason why. It just keeps saying download failed. Then it started demanding I buy a conversion license. Not wasting any more time with it.
- Se valoró con 1 de 5por Ottershop, hace 9 díasCompletely useless. Had to install extra software just for it to work, and then once I'd done that, it slaps a massive QR code on the downloaded video.
- Se valoró con 1 de 5por Shike, hace 9 díasHasn't been updated, but seems to have included a timed plan to spring on people to force payment with a QR code watermark now. Scammy crap.

If you had a patreon or Kofi I certainly would have chipped in a few dollars as thanks. But this makes it completely unusable. So no, screw you, and bring back the older version. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 13796962, hace 12 díasI'm joining the ever increasing crowd of people downgrading their rating of this now useless app. Used to be great and easy to use. Then a watermark and conversion tool required at a price for high quality downloads. Lo-res was still available. Now you cannot download at any quality without the intrusive watermark. But the straw that broke the camel's back for me is that now every download is in German.
1 Star and happy to remove from my extentions. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19593655, hace 13 días

"Hello,

We reviewed your report and the content in question, and found that it violates Mozilla's policies, and have therefore requested the developer make changes. If they do not update their content to correct the violation, we will remove it."
One star for having to use a third party program to have to download, and then he pulled the rug on everyone and put a big QR code in the videos saying you have to buy it now, it's a scam. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Juno, hace 20 díasPuts a huge QR Code on a downloaded video, asking for you to get a license. Use FOSS Software, not this repackaged junk.

- Se valoró con 1 de 5por Queens Gambit, hace un mesThis used to be a really good addon. It has become adware apparently with a big qr code added to any downloaded video. I however never got that far to notice since it crashes every tab that is showing a stream that is widevine drm protected after a while, even when you're not using it. When I found this addon to be the culprit I just uninstalled it. There are better alternatives.
